당한 카메라맨의 편지

"Dibu, brother, how are you? I'm Johnny Jackson, the cameraman you attacked in the game against Colombia. At the final whistle, as a cameraman and a steady operator, I'm always going to look for reactions because the director told me [to do it]. I know everyone's tired, but I always look for reactions after 90 minutes.

"I saw Dibu greeting two substitute goalkeepers and I approached him; and out of nowhere, he slaps me. It made me angry, it made me very angry. I do my job, just like he does his job, making saves. I wasn't even playing football. It made me very angry, but I didn't say anything to him at the time.

"I want to tell you one thing, Dibu: don't worry, brother. In life, everyone has lost a game. That loss suddenly meant a lot to you, but life goes on, Dibu."

디부(에밀 별명) 잘 지내니? 난 니가 콜롬비아와의 경기에서 공격한 카메라맨 조니 잭슨이야. 디렉터가 그렇게 하라고 얘기했기 때문에 마지막 휘슬이 울릴 때 카메라맨으로서 나는 언제나 선수들의 반응을 찍을거야. 모두가 피곤한건 나도 알지만,  나는 항상 90분 이후 선수들의 반응을 찾아다녀

나는 디부가 서브골키퍼 2명과 인사를 나누는 걸 보고 다가갔는데 갑자기 그가 나를 후려쳤어. 나는 화가 났어 굉장히. 그가 선방하는 그의 일을 하는 거처럼 나도 나의 일을 할 뿐이야. 심지어 나는 경기를 뛰지도 않았어. 나는 굉장히 화가 났지만 당시 그에게 어떤 말도 하지 않았어.

너한테 하나만 말해주고 싶네. 너무 상심하지 마라. 인생에서  모두들 패배를 겪어. 그 패배감이 너에게 많은 의미가 되겠지만 인생은 계속될거야
